Removal of a beautiful Red edge Hebe today. ( Far left)

Sadly after 10 years the Hebe started showing signs of sickness…OH kindly helped to remove it.

This left quite an empty space..The bed has a climbing red rose through which grows a herbaceous dark blue Clematis,Salvia Hotlips,Leucothoe and Hak grass..I moved the tall ceramic, blue pot over to the bed but what to plant beside it I don’t know.Perhaps keep with the red theme and a medium size flowering evergreen.?Would welcome any suggestions please.

That’s a beautiful garden Meadowland, so neat& colourful too. I like the bed being so full. I’m sure someone will come up with an idea to fill the small gap.

Such a shame when a plant dies. Why not plant another Hebe there ?

That's a shame about the Hebe. I wondered about a Potentilla but they are deciduous so not a good idea really!

I may have to resort to another Hebe Shirley. Autumn will be a better time to look.

that was a shame. what about something like a skimmia? one of my all time favourites. There are lots of nice evergreen shrubs out there.

Your garden always looks so neat and tidy.
